EAN 8 Barcode
EAN 8 is derived from EAN 13, was developed by International Article Numbering Association (EAN), Europe. Numeric barcode font encode seven digits of data along with check digit and well know by other names also UPC-8, GTIN-8, GS1-8, EAN-8+5, EAN-8+2, EAN8, EAN8+5, and many more.
EAN-8 is composed of numeric digits(0-7) and one check digit.
Ean-8 is designed with eight numeric digits (0, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0) which three digit are prefix, four are used for article identification and last one is check digit(MOD 10).
EAN-8 is used in small retail products like pencils, cigarettes, and chewing gum packets, etc.
